Art Block & Club Volunteers

Scholastic Book Fair

Humane Society

The first grade class is collecting items from the wish list for the NH Humane Society.
We are looking for old blankets, heating pads, nursing scrubs, latex gloves, peanut butter, toys, paper towels and non-clumping cat litter.
If anyone has these items at home or would like to purchase them we will be collecting throughout the month of May.

Hot Heads Knitting Project

Sant Bani often offers Art Blocks that give students the chance to do service for others. This set’s “Hot Heads Knitting Projcet” is no exception.

The Art bock will be answering a call from Partners in Health for knitters and crocheters to make hats for babies born in the Burera district of Rwanda. Burera is high in the mountains and hypothermia ia a threat to newborns. The goal is to have a hat for every baby born there.

The tiny hats are about the size of a grapefruit for a full-term baby and the size of an orange for premature infants. The Art Block hopes to make many hats to send to Partners in Health to ship to Rwanda. Students also will learn about the country of Rwanda.

I you or someone you know is interested in knitting or crocheting hats to add to out collection, visit Hothead Knitters or Touching Little Lives.
