Welcome Back September 2009

The Parent Committee has changed the volunteer forms with the goal of increasing participation and spreading the workload among many hands. If you were unable to attend parent work day, please call or e-mail Emily Galvin to get a form. The goal is to provide a more detailed description of tasks, and to give an accurate idea of the dates we need help from you, early in the year. Of course, everyone is welcome to join us for any event!

Parent Work Day parents voted to have a potluck dinner/recipe swap as this year’s back to school event. This will be a great opportunity to welcome new families into our Sant Bani family and catch up with old friends. Please take the time to welcome new faces; this can make such a big difference in making them feel a part of our community.

The Parent Committee will also be working on a few presentations throughout the year. The first will be covering the topic of what to pack for lunch. We will try to fit these into during the General Parent Meetings oar at other times when you will already be at school so that you won’t need to make a special trip.

Please watch your Listserv notices throughout the year, as much or the communication from the Parent Committee will be passed along to you through that venue in an effort to save paper. Please sign up if you aren’t already receiving those notices.

Please join us at Parent Committee meetings on the third Wednesday of every month. Check the online calendar for Parent committee meetings. We’ll have a ummy treat to enjoy at each meeting and it’s a great way to get to now more about the school and each other!

We have a great time together and it’s a wonderful way to get connected. EVERYONE is welcome!
