Summer Pilot Form

2010 -11 Projects Period Summer Option Pilot Program

This option is open to students in the 2010-11 school year ninth through twelfth grade.

Students with a special interest in doing a project over the summer – one that can’t be done in the winter – might consider this option. The committee will approve up to five proposals this spring.

The topic of the project should be something that a student is planning to do that is beyond a job to make money and something the student is truly excited about.

The proposal should be completed and turned in to Roxanne at the front desk by Monday May 10th, one full week after we come back from spring vacation.

The proposal shall meet criteria as the traditional proposal with all parts completely filled out with signatures and information.

The proposal should be carefully written with attention paid to spelling and grammar. The writing should be clear and concise and written as a formal paper. You also need to spell out the specific time frame when the work on your project will take place.

Students whose proposals are accepted by the committee should be prepared to present early in the fall. The project would be evaluated by the same criteria as other projects.

Students applying for a summer project will hear back from the committee before the end of the present school year. Ann Saunderson, Richard Danahy, and Kirsten Wilkinson will review the proposals and are available to answer your questions.

The forms and other project information are available online, and some paper copies available at the front desk.
